For our morning breakfast I usually opt for dishes which are easy and hassle free yet they provide the needed quota of vitamins and proteins. Whenever I make dosas, pancakes or thalipits I make it a habit to include add atleast 3 to 4 different types grains to make the dish wholesome. These multigrain thalipits are one of them. They are tasty as well as nutritious .
Ingredients :
1 1/2 cup ..............Ragi flour (Nachni)
1 tbsp..............Bajra flour
1tbsp...............Jowar flour
1 tbsp..............Soya bean flour
1 tbsp..............Besan
1 tbsp .............wheat flour
1 tbsp.............rice flour
2 ....................onions cut finely
1 cup ............cabbage cut finely
3 to 4 .............green chillies chopped finely
2 tsp.............coriander cumin powder
salt as needed
jagerry as needed
Method :
Mix all the flours along with onion , cabbage and chillies.
Add turmeric powder, dhana jeera powder, salt and jaggery.
Add enough water and make the batter of thick consistency.
Heat the tawa and spread the batter in round shape with hands.
Cook by covering the thalipits with a lid.
When one side is cooked turn and cook the other side till crisp and reddish brown.
Serve these nutritious thalipits with ketchup , green chutney or home make butter.
