Cabbage Kachumber

This simple and refreshing cabbage raita goes well with pulavs and biryanis . Its somewhat bland taste compliments the spicy rice and gravy varieties.

This tastes great when chilled and weight watchers can also make a meal out of this kachumber by adding fruits of their choice ( e.g. grapes, pineapple or pomegranate )








Ingredients :

2 cups ....................Cabbage (shredded to thin long stripes)
1 cup......................Onion ( finely sliced )
1 ..............................green chilly (finely chopped )
1 tbsp.......................coriander leaves (finely chopped)
1 tsp.......................cumin powder
1 tsp........................pepper powder
1 cup.....................thick curd
1 tsp....................sugar
salt


Method :

Mix all the ingredients except curd and salt and chill the kachumber.
At the time of serving add curd and salt mix well and serve.
If curd and salt are added in the beginning kachumber becomes watery .
Serve Chilled .
